Internet Death Support Tools (2019)
An ongoing project at Residency 11:11 (link) that looks to find alternatives for when the internet is blocked or restricted in moments of political turmoil. As governments become increasingly aware of the political advantage they gain when in control of networking tools, as in the case of Sudan, Iran, Indonesia and Hong Kong from 2019 alone, it becomes increasingly important to find alternative ways of networking. With plenty of existing resources, the three-part project will look to research and develop tools for journalists and activists to equip themselves with in the case of an internet shutdown.
